Patient Testimonials
Overview
The following video clips present patient experiences with
Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) procedures, and include surgeon
perspectives that shed light on the scientific background to
these success stories.
Cherie Geiser's story was picked up by the Wall Street Journal in
an article titled "Treating Untreatable Cancers" (11/30/04): "Cherie
Trimper Geiser, 43, a cancer survivor, says advanced cancer patients
need new options. 'The fact that I have lived five years longer
than what the doctors told me I would is a cure, even if I will
never be disease-free,' she says." The article continues: "Ms.
Geiser was back home a few days after minimally invasive surgery
with the RFA treatments and ran five miles two weeks later."

"[RFA]
sounded good, because you can recover real fast, and get on with
things, like playing golf. I always think about whether I can play
golf or not. Because if you can't play golf, well, it's like you're
not living."
- Charlie Morgan, RFA patient
"I
told him that RFA would not improve his golf game, but he seems
to be doing well. And that's the thing: these patients are not
debilitated, run down and always having toxicity in their therapy,
because RFA is an acute treatment that completely gets rid of the
tumor."

"Because
the cancer was metastasized so greatly to my liver, the day I was
diagnosed my prognosis at that time was five months."
"The
Radiofrequency ablation procedure saved my life. I have no tumors
on my liver and I live healthy, wholly and happily with my husband
and my three children."
- Cheri Geiser, RFA patient
